Lost In Strangers Hands

Life lives in the cells of this prison
Feeding on what it finds
Life lives as it lives
Lost in the depths of our mind

Torn from my life
I’m lost in stranger’s hands
Clinging to what is left of me
The din of rage and terror
Cold and barren cell
Only in my mind can I be free

Life lives in the cells of this prison
Feeding on what it finds
Life doesn’t cease to live
It dwells in the hell of our minds

They took my body
The body in which I live
They took my body from me.
I can’t show them that I’m hurt
Can’t show them that I care
Only in my mind can I be free.

Life lives in the cells if this prison
Feeding on what it finds.
Fear hidden by fear feeds fear
That dwells in the hell of our minds

Where can I find
A place to rest my mind
A place my soul can safely be
In the long long nights of jail
thoughts tear and scar my soul
Trying to find what’s really me

Life lives in the cells of this prison
Feeding on what it finds
Thought after thought after thought
Saving a me in my mind

The eyes of my mind
see a mirror of the world
a world that can not see
Beneath the rage and terror
hides a gentle soul
I still matter to me

Life lives in the cells of this prison
Feeding on what it finds
Live lives as it lives
Lost in the depths of our minds
